The device offers a class II laser with a wavelength of 620-690nm and a range of 50m. It allows you to measure distances in surprisingly short time - one measurement takes only about 0.25s. You can also choose from several available units of length (m, ft, in) and area (m2, ft2). What's more, the distance meter allows you to save up to 20 groups of data from previous measurements.
